GP's 12-year wait is over

What started off as a temporary arrangement turned into a 12-year fight for Dr Stephen Fox, who finally moves from his 'wooden shed' to a 'stone-clad citadel'

next month.

Dr Fox, a GP in Leigh, Man-chester, said: 'The scheme was on and off like a bride's nightie. Two years ago the PCT said there was no money. So we had a campaign in the national press and got health minister Andy Burnham on our side.' Four practices will now move into the building.
