GPs concerned by plans for retinopathy screening

GPs have raised concerns about Welsh Assembly plans to introduce retinopathy screening in primary care.

Morgannwwg LMC said the plans, which mirror the English national service framework for diabetes, had serious resource and workload implications for Welsh GPs.

Under the plans, Welsh GPs must offer screening to all people with diabetes and process and give test results.
