GPs face pension shortfall

Dr Sion Williams was gobsmacked when a cheque from a solicitor turned up ­ 10 years after sending out the invoice. The invoice, demanding just £10 for access to records, was sent out in May 1994.

The practice administrator had long since given up on the money. The solicitors said they could not pay until the client had done so first.
