GPs lack skin cancer referral skill

GPs are not sufficiently trained to refer effectively for skin cancer, secondary care researchers warn.

A study of GP referrals to a skin lesion clinic, published in the Annals of the Royal College of Surgeons of England, judged 69 per cent of those under the two-week rule to be 'inappropriate'.
