At the heart of general practice since 1960

GP's view of practice life goes on display

Images documenting a cancer patient's last weeks form part of Dr Paul Schatzberger's photography exhibition on the challenges GPs face in their job.

Dr Schatzberger, a GP in Sheffield, said the study of Michael Wilson, who was not his patient, challenged stereotypes about death and dying, patient choice and people's determination to die at home.

Michael's story is accompanied by images conveying the general practice environment and GPs with patients.

The exhibition runs from

18 March to 1 April at the Viewfinder Photography Gallery

in Greenwich, London.
