Grant GPs anonymity in GMC proceedings

I entirely agree with the Medical Protection Society that doctors facing proceedings before the GMC should at least be granted anonymity (News, October 27).

There is a glaring irony in your article that might be funny were not the matters of suicide and ruined lives and careers so very serious.

Of six people quoted only one opposes anonymity, and that person is the only one who is not named!

Is this a case of 'do as I say, not as I do' from, er, 'a GMC spokeswoman', who calls for 'an open and transparent procedure'?
