GSK cancels flu jab orders

Dr Ann Bolitho-Jones is resigning from her practice after 14 years in protest at her PCT's decision to allocate 26 nursing home patients.

The allocations came as a result of a dispute between Watford and Three Rivers and Hillingdon PCTs over who covers the home.

Dr Bolitho-Jones said: 'This is the final straw. I accept all patients have a right to have a GP but doctors also have a right to say No when safety is compromised by excessive list sizes.'

Watford and Three Rivers PCT, which allocated the patients, said the issue had national implications and it was working with the Department of Health to resolve the matter.

Dr Bolitho-Jones plans to work as a locum.
