Guidelines have killed common sense

Well done Dr Clare Gerada for making a common-sense point about our guideline culture (‘RCGP chair claims NICE guidelines "just don't work" for treating patients', www.pulsetoday.co.uk/news).

I miss medicine based on common sense as we flog patients with drugs to within an inch of their lives.

Perhaps common sense could make a comeback?
