Have we forgotten the good changes Labour has made?

Dr Ian Ward (Letters, March 5) is absolutely right – I am classed as hard of hearing, not deaf. I do not use sign language and neither do most of our hard-of-hearing patients who are often elderly and may even refuse to accept that they have a hearing problem.

The Government initiative is, however, for those who are both mentally ill and deaf. And quite rightly, as these patients do have difficulty getting appropriate help.
