High Court battle off as MMR parents lose aid

More than 1,000 parents who claim their children suffered autism and other brain disorders caused by MMR vaccine have lost funding for their case.

Their appeal against a decision by the Legal Services Commission to end funding was thrown out last week. The appeal committee said research had failed to show any conclusive link between MMR and autism and the case was unlikely to succeed.

The High Court battle

between the parents and MMR vaccine manufacturers had been scheduled for next April.
