Hip patients all low in vit D

You quoted me as saying the GMC believed its adjudication role should be given to an independent body 'set up by the Government with input from the profession but not paid for by the profession' (News, July 23). When the GMC debated this subject there were a number of people, including me, who believed that this was the way forward. But there were also those who had a different view. My concern is that when a panel's findings appear to be at odds with public perception, the GMC is blamed for the decisions of the panel over which it has no control.
