Pulse is recruiting for a Digital Intern

Pulse magazine - the leading provider of news, education and advice for GPs - has a vacancy for a budding online journalist on a full-time, paid six-month internship working on the website

The role is predominantly a digital content management role, although there may be some potential for occasional news writing.

You will be assisting the Digital Producer in preparing email newsletters, shooting and editing video for the site, and uploading and optimising articles and other online content.

We’re looking for an intelligent and enthusiastic graduate who wants a break in journalism and has a strong interest in digital publishing.

Key skills/experience include:

  • Some journalism training or experience and good attention to detail
  • An understanding of content management systems
  • Strong written and IT skills
  • Some experience of shooting and editing digital video

Some experience of working on websites, HTML and knowledge of the health service, would be an advantage but are not essential.
