Irate GPs refuse to return £1.2m overpayment to PCT

Have I missed something? Increasingly in yours and other papers there are references to our employers. This seems to refer to PCTs. I am obviously labouring under a misapprehension that I was still self-employed and have a contract with the PCT to provide certain services.

If they are my employer they are certainly failing to pay the employers' portion of my superannuation and my national insurance stamps. Perhaps I am being diddled.

I would be grateful if somebody could put me right on this, especially the GPC.
