It's unrealistic to expect a pay rise

With the country practically bankrupt I'd be delighted if I had a 1.6% uplift in my PMS budget, which is more than I have received for the past three years.

For the BMA to complain would be ridiculous and would show how out of touch it is.

We are all employers and, in our case, have given 2-3% to all staff, including our eight salaried doctors.

The new money is targeted in LESs and DESs and all practices worth their salt are making the most of them.

No wonder our referrals have increased.
