Join my petition on polyclinics and access

I have placed a petition on the 10 Downing Street website, calling on the Government to abandon plans for polyclinics and extended hours.

The petition reads as follows:

‘We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to abandon plans to create polyclinics and extended opening hours for GP surgeries and concentrate on maintaining good general practice and local district general hospital services. We encourage the Government to concentrate resources on local core services for children, the elderly and chronically sick, and not waste resources on costly headline-grabbing proposals.'

The petition is accessible on the 10 Downing Street site at: petitions.pm.gov.uk/polyclinics.

I think this will be of interest to a large number of colleagues, and anyone working in primary care. It is the only petition of this nature currently on the site.
