Laymen have unrealistic ideas on spotting cancer

Could you please reassure us all that your October 25 issue is in fact a late April Fool's Day prank?

·'GP health plan for everyone' was obviously thought up by someone who has never seen a patient, or at least not for a very long time.

·'Blair to order appointment clampdown' what planet are these people on?

·'GP to block refer 100 patients' is this the future of medicine in this country?

·'GP scandalised by £30/hour ooh shift' he shouldn't be doing them for that pittance.

So much for encouraging retention of doctors within primary care. Good luck all you nurse practitioners.
