Managing clinical problems in diabetes

An Australian book, which only partly makes the transition for a UK audience

An Australian book, which only partly makes the transition for a UK audience

This book is written by two authors from Australia and discusses management of diabetes from this perspective.

Case discussions make up most of the book with each case discussed by a multi-disciplinary team.

The Australian medical system has many similarities to the British system and management is similar, but personally I have doubts about whether the book is suitable for a British audience of GPs or trainees.

There are other books on diabetes written by British authors that give a local perspective, with for example references to driving regulations.

Inevitably with a multi-disciplinary contribution to each case, there are sometimes conflicting views, which may not be helpful for doctors interested in a more didactic presentation
