Yes, but where is it? It's a city of some 750,000 people in the East Midlands close to the M1 and A1.

Work? Spme 175 general medical practitioners currently work in 65 practices. But the Nottingham Evening Post recently reported that the city was 32 GPs short.

Home? £660,000 buys you a four-bedroomed detached house within easy reach of the campus of both Nottingham and Nottingham Trent universities, and the Queens Medical Centre.

Schools: The independent, selective Nottingham High School for Girls is 23rd in the country for A-level results. Nottingham High School for boys is only a few places lower.

Leisure: Nottingham has more sports facilities per head of population than anywhere else in Europe, including notably the National Watersports Centre, Nottingham Arena and National Ice Centre.
