Programme
Programme for 2012 to be announced soon.As well as thought-provoking plenary sessions and debate, covering key challenges facing the NHS in the immediate future, this year's conference has four parallel conference streams running across two days. There will be a chance to sponsor an entire conference track, an option which includes nominating a chair and presenting one of the 35-minute sessions - or you may prefer to simply sponsor a session covering a relevant topic of your choice.
The programme is being developed with expert input from key clinicians, commissioning leads and policy makers in the NHS. The programme will be finalised nearer the time of the event to ensure maximum topicality but an outline of the four streams are as follows:
Track A: Practice-level business and finance
Practical advice on the day-to-day running of an efficient, cost-effective practice
Sessions to include: practice finance workshop with leading medical accountants; legal and HR Q&A session; advice on how to succeed within your CCG ; tips on maximising profits and minimising expenses; identifying and seizing opportunities for your practice in the new NHS; key challenges for practice managers in the year ahead; pooling resources with other practices; Preparing for CQC inspection.
Track B: CCG-level business and finance
Covering the practicalities and key issues to consider when establishing and running a successful CCG and preparing it to take over a real commissioning budget.
