New RCGP advice on removals

Dr Michael Gorman supports calls by the RCGP for tax relief to be offered on sports activities to help combat the obesity epidemic.

But Dr Gorman, who refers patients to subsidised exercise schemes including golf, said any scheme must target lower income groups and relief must be felt at the point of purchase. Dr Gorman, a GP in Taunton, Somerset, said: 'It has to be set up properly and not just be another way for middle-classes to get tax relief.'
