NICE guidance on flu prophylaxis

The National Institute for Clinical Excellence has issued draft guidance on the prophylactic use of influenza drugs oseltamivir and amantadine.

It recommends GPs prescribe oseltamivir (Tamiflu) to at-risk patients over 12 who have been exposed to flu-like illness and not vaccinated. Amantadine was not recommended for prophylaxis.
