Partnerships standing the test of time

I should like to congratulate Dr Andrew Briggs and Dr John Taylor for their 20 years of unbroken partnership.

My own partnership of three comprising Dr Surinder Malhotra, Dr Arun Mishra and me has been unchanged for 24 years, with neither a written partnership agreement nor a single row between us. Our partnership is like the unwritten British constitution in that it has endured the test of time. It is based on the principle of love and respect for each other rather promotion of one's ego.

We can't beat 20 years but our partnership of four doctors went for 17 years unchanged. The larger the practice the more frequent change will be; smaller practices will be likely to have the longest records.

Dr Thomas Bloch, Broadway, Warwickshire
