Patients catching illness from telly

Patients are flooding GPs' surgeries with 'telly belly' illnesses they think they share with characters in TV shows.

Nine out of 10 GPs in a Norwich Union Health Care survey last week said media coverage of health and storylines in soaps affected patients' perception of their well-being.
