Patients love convenience of Darzi centres
I work in a Darzi clinic and the patients love the convenience - we are open 84 hours a week and patients rarely need to wait long to see a GP or a nurse practitioner ('Darzi centres set to miss patient registration targets').
These same patients frequently complain about the difficulty accessing GP practices locally, although they are reluctant to desert their own practices and re-register with us. In the meantime, we are contracted to see five walk-in patients per day. We regularly see 10 times that figure.
