Patients 'won't make outrageous demands'

Dr Steve Cox is allowing patients to attend an annual meeting in which GPs and other primary care professionals share best practice.

Dr Cox, clinical governance lead on St Helens PCT professional executive committee, said the move was aimed at educating patients about their choices.

'The vast majority don't have outrageous demands but the more we show them what we are doing, the more their choice will be appropriate,' he said.
