At the heart of general practice since 1960

PBC must have GPSIs

Dr Peter Stott is about to start an online diploma in dermatology which will eventually give him dual GPSI status.

Dr Stott, a GP in Tadworth, Surrey, already has a special interest in diabetes and is doing

an insulin initiation course to add to these credentials.

He said: 'I think GPs are going to have a responsibility to develop skills within their practice.

'Developing a special interest

is going to be essential if practice-based commissioning is to

come about.'
