These questions and answers are beginning to address my comments sent to your main newsletter August 19th, but a lot more detail needs to be answered to make the system work and the Government should be forced to be specific on the answers and not expect us to second guess. The whole process should be open and honest if it has any chance of success.

For a start, PCTs did much more than just commissioning and therefore cannot be simply discarded.

Yes, GPs can play a more valid role, but not on their own.
<p>
I look forward to the debate and hope there will be realistic discussions in the coming months. david rapp
