The infamous Treatment Centre contracts which preceded the Acute Standard Contract include valuable clinical quality outcomes data, so where consortia are lucky enough to have these in their patch, they should ask for this and try and get their Acute Trusts to emulate the data returns as a basis for contracting around clinical quality outcomes. It's very easy to get going on a local basis if a little planning and thought is put into it. Grant Rex
