PCT apologises to GPs over tender

GPs at the Northern Ireland LMCs conference backed Pulse's manifesto and sent the following messages to ministers:

·'Study the points on the Pulse manifesto. GPs are the starting and main points of NHS services and this message must be heard by all.'

·'Small practices should be nurtured and supported as they are valued by their patients and provide a level of care equal to that of large practices. Please do not let us disappear.'

·'Please contrast the high esteem in which GPs are held by their patients with the public image of other professionals and some in public life.'

Dr Sean Donnelly, Belfast

·'Let us get on with our business, stop meddling and we'll improve the service.'
