Pioneering GP fights inequality
Professor Peter Campion's pioneering practice has been hailed by the Department of Health for its drive to tackle health inequalities.
The Quays practice was set up three years ago to tackle Hull's growing populations of asylum seekers and drug misusers.
It also takes violent patients from other GPs' lists and provides a weekly drop-in centre for prostitutes.
Professor Campion, who divides his time between the Quays and academic general practice at the University of Hull, said: 'It's particularly demanding but the medicine is enormously stimulating.'
