Plans for £8m Darzi centre unveiled

Doncaster is to host what is likely to be the most spectacular - and most expensive - Darzi centre yet.

The £8m Town Hub project is, at a planned four storeys, billed as a landmark for the Yorkshire town, whose most famous building up to now was the legendary white elephant the Doncaster Dome.

The building will open in 2011, but the centre - run by private firm Go To Doc - is up and running already staffed by GPs working in temporary buildings.
