At the heart of general practice since 1960

Please resign immediately

I read your front-page headline 'GPs reeling from lists shock' (March 17) and laughed. My practice has 22,400 patients. My nominal list size is 19,530 and the weighted list has been given as 9,933. We will lose £300,000 plus over what we earned last year.

Do I vote No? Press will say greedy GPs turn down 30 per cent pay rise.

Do I vote Yes? Press say resounding approval of new contract all doctors are delighted.

Do I not vote? Apathetic docs can't even be be bothered to say Yes to huge windfall.

I would like the whole GPC to resign immediately. I am currently considering resigning from the BMA after 20 years.
