By Laura Passi

Gareth Iacobucci, senior reporter at Pulse, has won the Journalist to Watch award at the WorkWorld Media Awards 2011.

The winners were announced by the executive vice chair of the Work Foundation and celebrity journalist and economist Will Hutton, who also chaired the judging pane at a ceremony at the Foundation's headquarters in Westminster.

The judging panel was made up of accomplished journalists and academics in the field, including Professor David Lloyd, professor of journalism at City University and previously of Channel 4, and Rosemary Bennett, social affairs correspondent at The Times.

The event, sponsored by EDF Energy, was designed to recognise excellent written and broadcast journalism in the fields of business, work and economy.

Gareth won the Journalist to Watch award from a list of leading journalists for his ‘high quality, punchy and often exclusive reporting.'
