RCGP certificate charge is a blatant scam and a rip-off

From Dr I Najmi, Birmingham

I have just received a letter from the RCGP regarding my certificate of completion of training and I am appalled at the blatant scam and rip-off.

Previously it was free to registrars and now someone's thought of a new way to take advantage. What justification can there be for a hefty £350 fee to register with the certification department of the RCGP and then £250 in PMETB fees?

Next doctors will be required to pay for their completion degrees from university.

Obviously we have no choice but to comply with this injustice, but perhaps the college could print my certificate on paper that is soft, strong and thoroughly absorbent so that I can file it in a fitting place.
