RCGP had its chance for input on guidance

The RCGP was invited, on two occasions, to send a representative to NICE when guidelines for improving outcomes for people with skin tumours were being drafted.

Many PCTs have now written guidelines for accreditation. Our local one states that GPs must: only treat BCCs on the trunk, carry out 40 procedures a year, attend all multidisciplinary team meetings where their patients are being discussed, complete 15 hours of annual continuing professional development and keep a log to be presented at operational meetings.

I'm afraid, Professor Steve Field, that your boat has sailed.
