At the heart of general practice since 1960


The Royal College of General Practitioners is the professional membership body for family doctors in the UK and abroad. It was established in 1952. The College aims to support the GP as the personal doctor at the heart of the health service, to ensure good standards of practice, and to contribute to the academic life of medicine.
