I agree with the view that referral management is not going to save money but will just generate work and create problems for patient care.
Crude referral blocks wont save NHS
Eventually, these patients will be seen in hospital anyway because there is no alternative in the community. And the whole ethos of commissioning is supposed to be to involve the patient. How much are patients aware of this crude referral blocking?
