Sainsbury's plans a rapid expansion of in-store GP surgery programme

You are being prepared for co-payment in England. The complacency of the English voter astonishes me. Is your shopping free in Sainsburys? No. You expect to pay for it. Do you really think Sainsburys, Virgin and other large corporates are setting up with the expectation that they will be forced to deliver a no-limit contract free at the point of use? Of course they dont. The profits for a consumer driven healthcare service are yet to be fully realised. They know that soon they will be allowed to charge for patients to see their staff (and they will be the minimally qualified from other EU countries to drive down cost) Expect, within 5 years, to pay to see the GP in England, in the order of £20 per 15 minute consultation. And thats for starters. Welcome to the Health and Social Care Act which starts in April 2013. The NHS in England is dying, and in terminal stages now. It survives, ill and not out of the woods, in Wales, and in Scoltand is making a recovery. Wake up, England. before it is too late.
