CQC chasing more than a hundred unregistered GP practices

The law says you will be committing an offence if you trade without registering. So in theory the CQC should be closing these practices down and prosecuting them if they carry on trading without a licence. But now that the time has come to see their mettle, they are going to talk to these practices nicely and see if they need any help in registering!!! When push comes to shove, the CQC are not as tough as they make out, which is why all these scandals abound. This looks like a light touch regime replacing the PCTs .... except that now we all have to pay for the privilege. So the CQC is not as tough as they make out to be.
