Charging migrants could generate £200m annually for the NHS, say ministers

Under the new system, this surcharge will be set at around £150 for students and at around £200 for other temporary migrants" "Temporary migrants" Thousands of doctors and nurses are on work visas which are time limited. These people pay NI and tax . If this is the case ( not clarified ) Putting any levy on them is not only unfair but stupid. Foreign students if working pay NI and tax. if you want them to pay tax then better stop allowing them to work as well. Hit the last nail the coffin of universities as they struggle to cope with finances. Anyone illegal or not paying tax/NI should be charged.
