GP commissioners should involve out-of-area GPs in decisions to avoid conflicts of interest, says Monitor

"commissioners should consider using competition as a way of driving up the quality and efficiency of the services supplied by GP practices and other providers" Our big challenge at present is to find ways to support GPs so that they are able to continue providing the high quality services that they provide now, against very difficult odds.
