GPs miss out on £85m sexual health contract

Sadly, not every sexual health problem will not be able to be referred to any contracted service. They will have a list of tariffs and if the problem does not fit into one of them they will turf it back to the GP. Family planning clinics will no longer provide cervical smears as they are not paid for this. Whether General Practice is resourced adequately for this work, is a moot point. Increasingly the patients will fall between tariffs and no one will help them. Welcome to the Tory created vision of healthcare.
