Please do not blame the Gov. for funding as the NHS financial requirements and patients expectations are increasing day by day. My few recommendations are as follows: Either personal taxes are raised or Customers make minimum contribution in the form of 50 pence charge per item of medication, charge for DNAs, and home visits Visitors to the UK must have an insurance policy for their healthcare before they are given visitors visas. GPs should be exempted from giving social security related sick notes, and this activity to be transferred to a separate department. GPs and Hospital Consultants should become preferred providers of healthcare services which are advertised as private services to improve standards with value. If we want to save the country from ever expanding national debt, we must consider part-privatising the NHS, and change the social security system so that the jobs become more attractive than the social security payments. We must move forward from 1948, as it is now 2014
