'Corner shop' GPs should expand and employ hospital consultants, says NHS England

Anonymous | Private GP | 03 October 2014 12:33pm Explain how this is to be done. NHS GPs receive the same amount per annum for each patient as some private GPs earn per patient contact. I would love to be paid for the actual units of work I do and to be able to spend longer with each patient and have some control over my workload. However sometimes when I'm seeing 25 patients in a surgery where I have 5-10 minutes per patient the 'quality' suffers. We are only human.
