Bye Bye QOF? Framework to be first casualty of co-commissioning drive

Comment

This explains a lot. Local specialist community services in my area are being cut or even decommissioned by the CCG. The plan being for the GPs to do more of the care - presumably with longer appointments and more money from this. And all that work they put in a few years ago to remove conflicts of interest by splitting commissioners from providers? Waste of time. And what will happen to the specialist community multidisciplinary teams with their excellent links to each other and more specialist services? I have a vague memory that someone might have thought this was the future. Well I seem to have been to rather a lot of leaving do's recently and none of them are going to NHS jobs. Seeing patients with complex chronic conditions doesn't just mean a few extra quid an extra five minute consultation. Please support your community teams.
