Bye Bye QOF? Framework to be first casualty of co-commissioning drive

Already practices are having last year's 'retired' QOF indicators (including such idiocies as having a biopsychosocial assessment recorded on the same day as the diagnosis of depression - and GPPAC) extracted - as the GPC agreed that they should be incorporated into the GP contract for 2014/15. It does sound as though the deal for NHS England is that all practices continue to collect all the QOF indicators - however these are defined by NICE - probably including all the retired indicators - *and* jump through a number of local CCG hoops: if/when the CCG is in deficit, will local QOF replacements be protected or consieed to be part of the unsecured debtor category? Remeber you're supping with the devil: very long spoons might be prudent!
