CRP testing to guide RTI antibiotics ‘cost-effective’


It will be interesting to the actual impact on antibiotics resistance. Point of care or near patient testing of CRP is already in practice in other countries e.g. Scandinavian. There is a cost of having these test kits and their maintainence but perhaps offer one answer to the on going debate of when to prescribe antibiotics in URTI and RTI.
