'Elite' university students shun general practice

The elephant in the room is parochialism: you are more likely to receive a training position and a consultancy if you attend an "elite" medical school than if you don't. The students know this, they are anything but stupid. They are realistic and will favour the career option they will most likely accomplish. P.S. "elite" medical school graduate for what it is worth
