Experts call for overhaul of general practice education funding as time spent in GP placements falls


Our local medical school (the biggest in Europe) is going to remove 3rd year medical students from general practice entirely. I am shocked by this. Surely we need to be encouraging students to learn how to take histories and diagnosis from undifferentiated presentations. The so called 'academics' in these community based departments do about 2 sessions of GP a week and increasingly are more and more removed from bread and butter 2015 GP. I
