Patients hit by practice closures: the thousands who have had to find a new GP

Comment

Is it because practices are too small as individual businesses that they are "allowed" to fail. If it were a DGH money would be thrown much earlier to save them. With many more practices on the brink when is the tipping point? Patients still need to be seen and the knock on effect is full A+E's or much more pressure on surrounding practices to absorb the extra workload. There needs to be a rapid realisation there is no spare capacity in primary care.
